The landscape
pictured on this page
is a monoprint, one of a kind, printed on
paper with warm encaustic paints
(wax based). A brush was not used in the process. This particular encaustic technique is uniquely my own. A certain bit of skill is involved, but the technique depends on my response to chance happenings. One color application leads to
my next thought
and it contiues on
until I feel the painting is finished. I get lost in this game of creativity. I find inspiration in the landscapes I have grown to know and
love in North Carolina, from the mountains to the sea.
